Belarusian Bankucha Tree Cake

A festive layered tree cake built over hours on a rotating wooden spit before radiant heat.

What you’ll need

• flour: 500 g
• eggs: 12 pcs
• butter: 450 g
• sugar: 400 g
• heavy cream: 300 ml
• vanilla: 6 g
• salt: 4 g

How to make it

1. Bring all ingredients to room temperature and separate the eggs. Beat the butter and sugar until pale and fluffy, then add the yolks one at a time and mix in the vanilla.
