WebP Batch Converter Privacy Policy
This draft Privacy Policy describes the planned data practices of WebP Batch Converter for macOS and its related support pages. The app is offered by Maksim Yaromau, Individual Entrepreneur, Georgia IP No. 302239897, 70 M. Tsinamdzgvrishvili street, Georgia ("WebP Batch Converter", "we", "us", or "our"). Draft status
This document is a public pre-release draft and is not effective. The release binary has not yet completed the required privacy and network audit. This draft therefore does not claim zero network use, no tracking, no upload, offline-only operation, or App Store “Data Not Collected” status.
Account
The planned conversion workflow does not require you to create an account.
Files you select
The app processes images that you choose through drag and drop or a file picker to create converted output according to your settings. The intended conversion workflow uses files available to the Mac and writes output to a location you choose or confirm.
The final release audit must verify whether any selected file content, metadata, filename, path, diagnostic information, or conversion context can leave the device. Until that verification is complete, this draft makes no stronger promise about network behavior or data collection.
Local settings
The app may store conversion preferences locally on your Mac, including output format settings, compression mode, quality, resize options, output destination, Finder reveal behavior, and notification preferences. macOS may also maintain ordinary application, file-access, security, and diagnostic records under Apple's settings and policies.
Diagnostics and third-party components
The current release plan must be audited for analytics, crash reporting, update checks, network requests, and other diagnostics before publication. The app includes conversion components such as libwebp; bundled software notices do not by themselves indicate that personal data is collected or transmitted.
The final policy will identify any production analytics, diagnostics, distribution, or update provider that receives personal data, together with its purpose and retention behavior. No such statement is final in this draft.
Support communications
If you email support, we receive the email address, message, attachments, and technical context you choose to send. Do not attach confidential source images unless they are necessary and support has requested a safe sample. Support communications are used to respond to your request, diagnose issues, protect the service, and meet legal obligations.
Retention and deletion
Files and settings stored locally remain under your control through macOS and the app's available controls. Deleting an exported file, source file, app setting, or the app itself is handled on your Mac. The final release policy must state any retention period that applies to remotely received diagnostics or support information. You may request deletion of support correspondence unless retention is required for security, legal, or dispute-resolution purposes.
Website data
The public product, support, Terms, and Privacy pages do not use accounts, analytics, cookies, or persistent form submissions. Clicking the support button opens your email application using a prefilled mailto: link.
